A very short update to the road closure item I warned about four months ago. I had heard rumours from local sources that Mugiemoss Road was not to open on the 9th July as projected. I checked the Aberdeen City website before sending an e-mail on the 4th of July, asking for clarification on the issue, as the website still stated that the projected opening date was 9 July.
On checking the website today, (7 July, the opening date for the road has been put back to the 17 August. A neat little electronic tell–tale states that the ACC Admin updated this item on the website on 4th of July.
That seems like a lot of coincidence. Please inform anyone who uses this road.
This brings the original plan of a six month closure, to within two weeks.
Remember also that Bridge of Don and that area will be chaos for two days from tomorrow (9 July) owing to the Scottish Open Golf Championship.
Leave time for your journey.
